V- Steams are a herb infused, steam bath for the pelvic region based on Mayan cleansing rituals. Other cultures reference similar services as vaginal steams, yoni- steams, chai-yok and pelvic steaming.

Vaginal Steaming is a deeply relaxing experience that combines moderate temperature steam and herbs to alleviate pelvic tension, increase circulation and reduce inflammation. V-steaming is used as an adjunct therapy to address a wide range of women’s reproductive and menstrual concerns such as Fibroids, PCOS, PMS, painful menstrual cycles, endometriosis, and difficulty in conceiving.

V-Steams are inappropriate during pregnancy, while showing signs of infection or during active menses.

Book An Appointment At The Right Time
While there’s no problem having a Brazilian wax while on a period, it’s still better to have this at least one to two weeks after your menstruation. This time, your skin is not as sensitive as it is when you have your monthly visitor.

Take Note: If you’re going to our salon for a Brazilian or bikini wax and you have a period, we advise that you wear a tampon for hygiene purposes.

Grow Your Hair To The Right Length
The hair in your genitals has to be at least quarter of an inch long so that the wax can hold on to it properly; however, if it’s too long, it can be more painful or may only cause to breakage. Nonetheless, it’s better than having it short since the therapist can still trim it before the actual waxing begins.

Keep Yourself Clean
Before going to a salon, we advise that you clean your bikini area using warm water. It’s also ideal to lightly exfoliate your genitals prior to waxing. This will make the procedure faster and easier. Most spas provide baby wipes which you can use before the waxing begins.

Skip The Lotions, Oils, Or Cream
Lotions, oils, and cream will only make the area slippery, thus making it hard for the wax to adhere on the hair. Therefore, it’s best to ditch these before getting a Brazilian wax.

Take A Pain Reliever
Advil, Tylenol, or any pain reliever is recommended before a Brazilian wax, especially if it’s your first time. Take it at least an hour before the session begins if you’re worried about any discomfort. Also check out or product NO SCREAM numbing cream.

Congrats! You’ve survived the challenge, but it doesn’t end there. In order to avoid irritation, inflammation, and infection, you need to follow a few aftercare tips for Brazilian wax. The first thing you have to remember is to wear loose pants and underwear for about a couple of days. Other tips include:

Don't touch the newly waxed skin. We know it’s tempting especially now that it’s softer and smoother but to avoid small pimples and irritation, you have to stop yourself from doing so.

Shower instead of taking a hot bath. Lying in a tub full of warm water after a long, hard day is a reward; however, this is a big no-no after a Brazilian wax. After the session, the pores in your skin are wide open and this can only lead to infection. If you want to clean yourself, you can take a shower instead.
For the next two days, avoid sauna, tanning beds, steam rooms, or even jacuzzi.

Ditch sex. C’mon girl, this is only for a couple of days. Avoid sex as this only adds friction and may worsen the condition of an already-sensitive skin.
Exfoliate after 48 hours and if there’s no sign of irritation or redness, use a mild exfoliator to remove dead skin cells and avoid ingrown hair.
